Had to cut 1/4" length off
The access panel needed trim in order to fit, yet it's the one for this model dishwasher. Once we trimmed off 1/4" in length, it was able to fit with retainer plugs, which adjust counter clockwise. The access panel came with the foam backing, yet parts list shows separately, so we order foam piece and didn't need it. Parts list needs to show foam backing(shield) is part of panel. This would of saved us $23.51

Replace black access panel on Whirlpool dishwasher (model WDF520PADM7)
I needed to replace the black access panel on my Whirlpool dishwasher (model WDF520PADM7).

By following the instructions in this short video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=995mtdO7rQg) , I was able to complete the replacement in under 10 minutes. You'll need a flat-blade screwdriver. The Retainer Clip - Black can be a little tricky to position into the opening, so have patience.

Keep in mind that the Retainer Clip - Black only contains ONE clip and so you must make sure to order TWO Retainer Clip - Black from PartSelect.

Took off kick plate to get ready for winter shut down
Put the kick plate under the dishwasher and screwed it in. Easy!

I'M LOOKING FOR THE VERY BOTTOM COVER PLATE THAT COVERS THE CABLES. MAYBE CALLED THE FOOT PLATE OR BASE COVER? IS THIS THE RIGHT PART FOR MY DISHWASHER? I JUST BOUGHT HE DISH WASHER NOT TO LONG ALONG AND MY KITCHEN HAD TO BE REDONE AND THE CONSTRUCTION GUYS THROW IT OUT.
