the plastic piece that went over the metal timer D post cracked. Was not able to turn on timer without pliers
I ordered the timer base knob, timer knob insert cap and the timer dial skirt. We put all three pieces together and put it on the D metal timer post. Good as new!

No heat
Replaced the igniter and the primary coil. Igniter now glowed but no gas. Replaced the secondary coil and bingo, it worked. Sounds like a common issue. I'd order both coils together and the igniter if you have the same problem.

Dryer Timer Not Working - Timer Dial Skirt Broke
I ordered a new timer skirt and also a new timer knob(only to be safe) and they arrived the next day! I watched the instruction video on your website and it showed me how to take apart the skirt knob and cover. It was so easy. I reassembled the three parts which took about 2 minutes and put it back on the silver post that holds the timer dial. It worked as good as new. My husband was proud of me. I have recommended your website to my friends.

This part will fit down on the metal of my dryer dial, but it sits up so there is about a 1/2" clearance from actually being seated on the machine. It is workable; however, it is smaller than the original dial. My original piece is from 1999 so I am guessing the dimensions changed since then?
PartSelect logo
Hello Judy, Thanks for your question. You may need the timer dial skirt and the timer knob cap in order to get this part to fit, though this may vary from model to model. I hope this helps.

Our dryer time dial has become very sloppy and you have to sometimes guess what setting it is actually on. I read a comment someone made about getting the wrong part and i just want to make sure that i order the correct part. Do i need just the skirt or the entire knob and cap?Thank you
For model number MDE3500AYW
PartSelect logo
Hello MJ, thank you for your question. The timer knob for your model comes in two parts. The skirt, that has the indicator line on it that points to the selection you're on, which is Part Number: PS11741055 and the rubber grip Part Number: PS11739297 that you would grab. The cap has been discontinued, but can be reused from the original knob. You can see pictures and installation videos of these parts on our site. We would recommend replacing both parts to fix this issue. I hope this helps!

How do I know if I need a whole new tuner or just the knobs? My washer won’t advance in the regular wash but it works fine in delicate.
