Not exact match but close enough.
I had to snip the wires and add the provided spade type connectors. The wire was then too short to prevent rubbing against the dryer drum so I had to yank the wires until they were long enough. Did not fix my problem but could be a circuit board problem. Didn't diagnose it further because the dryer still works but does not shut off when door opened.

When i push start button i get 2beeps but will not start
For model number MEDZ600tW2
Hello Rich, Thank you for contacting us. This is an indication that one of the thermal sensors has failed. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you.

Can the door actuator prevent the dryer from starting, but still have the drum light turn on, or does the actuator keep both from working when it fails? My drum light is still working.
For model number 11085866401 (Kenmore)
Hello Greg, thank you for your question. The switch prevents the unit from starting with the door open and the lights as well. We would recommend testing the high limit thermostat kit, thermal fuse, and the internal bias thermostat first as these are the most common cause of the unit not starting. I hope this helps.

My Whirlpool duet dryer suddenly stopped working yesterday. When I try to start a cycle I hear one audible click but the dryer doesn't start. I've checked the door which seems to be closing as usual, I have held the start button ten seconds to try to restart, I have tried all the setting options and still all I get is one single click and no dry clothes. I would love some advice on what might be the problem. Many thanks.
For model number GGW9200LW0
Hello Lebeth, thank you for contacting us. For this symptom you will want to replace either the Door Catch Kit part PS334230, the Disposable Thermal Fuse part PS11741444, or the Internal-Bias Thermostat part PS11746740. We hope this helps.

My dryer will not turn off if the door is closed. When the door is opened the drum stops and the light comes on, but when the door is closed the drum starts again and the timer goes again. The timer keeps going through cool down to the next section and never shuts off. It does not sound like a door switch would fix it, but I did not see that symptom anywhere.Thank you for your help! Gary
For model number 110.96589210
Hi Gary, Thank you for the question.I suggest testing or replacing the Push-To-Start Switch, PartSelect Number PS11741476 or the Timer, Part Number: PS11741499. You can use a multi meter to check the continuity for each switch to determine the defective part. Hope this helps!

Dryer drum turns but no heat. I received an error code 88 using the "more time" up down process. Indicates door switch but the switch does stop the drum from turning when open. I replaced the heating element last year.
For model number GEW9868KL2
Hi Stanley, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the element with a multi meter. If the element is good you can test the Thermal Fuse, PartSelect Number PS11741460, The Thermal Cut-Off Kit. This kit includes one high limit thermostat with a limit of 250 degrees Fahrenheit, and one thermal cut-off fuse with a limit of 360 degrees Fahrenheit, PartSelect Number PS334278 and the Internal-Bias Thermostat,PartSelect Number PS11746740. Hope this helps!

The dryer will not start. When we hit the start button the senor light comes on, but the dryer will not start. We have replaced the moisture sensor, thermal fuses, heating element, rollers and the drive belt. We even sent out the control board and had it tested. They found no issues. The only thing we have not replaced is the door latch and/or the sensor. Please provide the part numbers we need to replace these parts. Is there anything else we should consider replacing?
For model number WED8300SW
Hi Jeffrey,
Thank you for your question. The only sensor listed under your model number is the moisture sensor, part number PS11741408. The part number for the door switch and actuator is PS334284.
There are some other parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will also need to check the high limit thermostat, the drive motor, the idler pulley, the electronic control board, the terminal block, the terminal wires and the heating element. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
