My "reset filter" light indicator was on. What do I need to do? Does this mean I have to change my grease filters or does my microwave have charcoal filter in it?

Hi Aarti, thank you for reaching out. Yes, your model has a charcoal filter, part number PS16216937. The Reset Filter indicator does not detect when the charcoal filter is dirty. This is simply a timed function to remind you to change the filter. The Reset Filter reminder will light up every 6 months. The charcoal filter should typically be changed every 6 to 12 months, when it is noticeably dirty or discolored or when the Reset Filter indicator light comes on. When the Reset Filter light is on, replace the charcoal filter, then place your finger over the words Reset Filter and press down for 3 seconds. The Reset Filter indicator light will reset and go off. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!
Are the 2 little filters on bottom of microwave the only filter that need to be replaced

Both of them have the same part number PS12722303. The third filter is the charcoal filter, part number PS16216937, which is located at the top of the microwave, behind the vent grille. I have a brand new GE microwave JVM6175SK5SS. The grease filters will not stay in place. (keep falling down) please advise as what is the fix to this problem?

Remove microwave outer cover. Turn on side & locate the upper & lower door switches. Better to replace in pairs even if one is ok. Remove the wire harness to each switch. Then replace switch and re connect the wire harness. Re attach outer cover and test to see if that solved the problem. If so then well done!!
First I disconnected the power and opened the door. Then I removed the top screws holding the top vent louvers, then removed the screw at the top of the touch pad. I followed the generic trouble shooting directions on the web site. It suggested either diode, capacitor and/or magnetron. I test each. All tested OK except diode. It was supposed to measure open in one direction and appox 200k ohms in the other direction. My diode measured open in both directions (tried multiple times, multiple sett
... Read moreings). I replaced the diode. The order process was great and it shipped immediately. I knew I was in trouble when I measured the new diode and it too was open in both directions. It was easy to install but unfortunately no joy - did not solve the problem. At this point it is likely cheaper just to buy a new one
