This throttle cable is responsible for controlling the engine speed in edgers. It is a manufacturer-approved cable designed with specific end fittings that connect to the throttle control lever on one end and the carburetor on the other. When the throttle control lever is adjusted, the cable transmits the motion to the carburetor, which allows the user to regulate the engine speed.
