Jenn-Air Washer Belt Kit
★★★★★
★★★★★
71 Reviews
PartSelect Number PS2005284
Manufacturer Part Number 12112425
This kit includes both the drive belt and the pump belt which are both V-shaped. If your washer does not toss, spin, or drain water properly, this might be because one of these belts has worn or stretched out. This results in the belt losing its grip and no longer driving the pump. The pump belt is black and made of rubber. The pump belt is located between the motor and pump underneath the washer. Simply remove the belt and hook the new one around the pulley. You may need to loosen or tighten the belt to ensure it is set in place properly.

Drum would not drain and there was a banging noise when the drum spun
I removed the 2 phillips screws on the bottom of the front panel. Then checked around to find the belts were actually below the floor panel.
I pulled the washing machine away from the wall and tilted it bacwards and found the pump belt was off the pully and the drive belt was badly damaged. I replaced the 2 belts which took no tools and about 3 minutes to accomplish then resecured the front panel, pushed back in place and leveled. Complete repair from diagnosis to back in operation took less than 15 minutes.

excessive vibration during spin cycle
After removing the two screws that hold the front panel in place , I could easily see the areas I needed to work in .Also , I removed the two screws securing the top panel and raised it a few inches . I saw how the damper pads were worn away . I removed the 3 dampering springs by removing the eyebolts and the base mounting nuts . After the dampering springs are removed , the washing drum can be lifted up off the bottom .Just lean the machine towards the rear and place a 4x4 lumber under the big pulley on the bottom and allow the machine to slowly come forward again resting on the lumber .I followed the instructions supplied and cleaned the excess dirt and debris away from the pad mounting areas . I applied the glue as instructed and allowed it to dry . A little dexterity was needed but the new pads easily went into position . After allowing a little more glue time ,I removed the 4x4 lumber from the bottom and lowered the machine .I installed new centering springs and tightened the eyebolts to thier original positions .I secured the top and the front panels and performed a couple test cycles . perfect , no vibration at all. like new . I replaced the two drive belts on the bottom because they had never been replaced and they definitely showed wear . Another test and I was completed in around 2 hours . Read more...

Jenn-Air Washer Drive Belt - 51 inches long
★★★★★
★★★★★
25 Reviews
PartSelect Number PS11738882
Manufacturer Part Number WP21352320
This V-style drive belt measures 51 inches long and 3/8 inches wide. The belt is made to slip on the motor pulley to bring the basket up to the speed required. Continued use can result in the belt suffering from wear and tear. Replace the V-style drive belt if you notice that it looks damaged. The most common symptoms of a damaged drive belt include: a burning smell or a loud grinding noise coming from the washer; the drum will not spin, spins slowly, or will not agitate; the washer shakes and moves, will not start, or will not drain.

Pump was making a grinding noise
The pump is located behind a small panel on the back, lower left side of my washer. It's attached to the bottom frame with 3 screws. It has two hoses attached, each with one spring clamp. Lift one side of the washer and slip the drive belt off the pully. Release the spring clamps on the hoses with a pair of pliers and remove the hoses. A small amount of water will drain from the hoses and pump when removed. Remove the three screws holding the pump to the frame and remove the pump. Install the new pump in the same position. Reattach the hoses, replace the belt, and reinstall the cover panel. That's all there is to it. Read more...

Washer jumping in spin cycle (white flakes under the washer)
Unlug the AC cord, open the top from the front it snaps open with a little force and hinges on the back, remove the 2 screws on the front cover and take it off, tip the washer and remove the belt, take off the pump hose from the back (I removed the back cover also) and the little hose going to the basket. Remove the 6 springs and lift the complete drum out of the waser and turn it upside down. You can see the plastic snubber ring that is worn, loosen the 6 screws just enough to get the old ring out and the new one in. WARNING (DO NOT TAKE THE SCREWS ALL THE WAY OUT OR THE BRAKE ASSEMBLY WILL RELEASE AND A SPECIAL TOOL IS NEEDED TO PUT IT BACK) Install the new ring, tighten the screws and put the tub back in connecting everything back up and use the 6 new springs. It really isn't that hard to do. Read more...

I used a flat screw driver to push in on the releases so I could raise the top of the machine. I then used a torx tool to remove both parts of the hinge, and then used a #2 phillips screw driver, on the new screws I'd also ordered, to re-attach both of the hinge parts. Every thing went just as anticipated. Read more...

Jenn-Air Washer Lid Hinge Pin
★★★★★
★★★★★
10 Reviews
PartSelect Number PS11741781
Manufacturer Part Number WP35-2045
This lid hinge pin allows a washing machine lid to pivot open and closed properly. The hinge pin may need to be replaced if the lid will not open or will not close. The part is white and made of plastic. This lid hinge pin is just over an inch long, is sold individually, and does not include the mounting screw (consider ordering mounting screw if it rusted or stripped). It is recommended to check the opposite lid hinge pin before ordering because hinges may wear at the same rate. Be sure to not tighten the mounting screw to pin too tightly to avoid breaking the new part.

Jenn-Air Washer Hose Clamp
★★★★★
★★★★★
2 Reviews
PartSelect Number PS11740613
Manufacturer Part Number WP285655
The hose clamp is used to hold the water hose in place which will prevent the hose from leaking water. Sometimes the clamp may lose its ability to latch on, causing a leaking washer. For the installation, you will need a flat head screw driver to replace the clamp and a drill to access the screws to remove the front of the washer. Be careful if you do not have specific clamp pliers as the clamp could fly off. Once the front of the washer has been removed, take a quick look for water damage or any obvious signs of where the leak is coming from. If it is not obvious, run water to test.
