Hello Robert, thank you for your question. If the unit it not going into agitation mode we would recommend testing the lid switch, and checking the internal agitator parts to determine if they are worn. If the unit sounds like its agitating but the actual agitator isn't moving the issue would be with the agitator itself. If the unit will not go into agitation mode at all, we would recommend testing the lid switch, mode shift actuator (which switches the unit between agitation and spin), the belt, pulley and the gearcase. I hope this helps. PS11747977

How do I install the small suspension rod springs?
For model number 1105072011
PartSelect logo
Hi Larry, thank you for contacting us. If you are talking about tub centering springs, they are not in your model. If you are talking about the suspension rod springs, you will need to replace the whole suspension rod kit, part number PS11703290. Suspension rod springs are not sold separately. We have included a video to help you to replace the suspension rods. The washer in the video appears different from yours, but it will give you a general idea of how to install the part. We hope this helps with the repair.

Lid Lock light blinking, machine will not start
A detailed Service Technician Service Manual is hidden inside the machine on the front panel. It is hidden by the bleach dispenser input. It gives a list of fault codes and instructions for calibration after repair, resetting fault codes, and a manual test mode for stepping the machine through each mode on command. The Tachometer failed which would not let the machine come up to maximum spin speed. The tachometer is part of the solenoid actuator that shifts the transmission. It is not specifically called out in the manual. Any failure causes the lid lock light to blink which gives the appearance of a lid lock failure

Top of agitator didn't agitate. It was slipping.
Pried off the agitator cap. Removed the bolt. Removed the agitator. In the process of separating the agitator from the base, a plastic tab broke off which concerned me. BUT, in the directions with the part it explains that the 2 tabs are for factory assembly and to break both of them off. Broke off the second tab and reassembled. My 18 year old Kenmore is back in action.
