I have a Kenmore ice maker is not working i believe the fill valve for the ice maker is bad the water is coming out the water in the door where is the fill valve for the ice maker located on this side by side refrigerator?

The water inlet valve PS11766581 is in the back section of your refrigerator and will need to be pulled out from the fridge wall. Make sure to disconnect both the water and power supply before starting your repair. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
Hello Taj, thank you for your question. If the icemaker is not making ice the issue would be with the water supply to the icemaker, which is the water valve PartSelect Number PS11766581 or the icemaker itself, PartSelect Number PS12078379. We would recommend testing the valve first and if that is fine, the icemaker would have to be replaced. I hope this helps.

A refrigerator ice maker that freezes up can be caused by a frozen ice maker fill tube, faulty water inlet valve, too low freezer temperature setting, or a water filter that needs replacing. This repair was easy. The ice maker assembly is basically a plug and play unit that requires first removing the ice bucket as described inside the freezer door. Next, remove several screws the support the unit, then gently lifting the ice maker assembly out, just far enough to access the 2 electrical plugs that operate the unit. Caref
... Read moreully unplug the old unit and remove it. Next, plug the new unit and then reverse the disassembly process. I could have done this in 10 minutes had I not been careful not to break anything. No special tools are required.
Removed ice dispenser and display with small screwdriver from front of the fridge. Pried out the whole piece slowly. This exposed the motor that activates the chute. Plugged in the new motor before any removal to verify the motor was the problem. When it worked, removed old and installed new. 3 screws. Piece of cake.
I paid for the expedited shipping and they sent me a cheap knockoff attempt at the part that had the wrong size hole. So they refunded me the money I paid for the part but not the shipping, and then I crushed the part they sent me with a hammer and threw it away.
