Dryer heats sometimes. Sometimes it works and heats up and other times it blows cold air. I have already replaced heating element and thermostat and cleaned the dryer
For model number AED4675YQ0
Hi Scott,
Thank you for your question. If your dryer is not heating and you have already replaced the heating element and the thermostat, there are some other parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. If you dryer is not heating, the issue may be with the thermal fuse. The thermal fuse is designed to prevent the dryer from overheating. Once a dryer's thermal fuse has blown, it is no longer of any use. If your dryer's fuse has blown, you will have to replace it. To verify if the fuse is working, you will need to test it with a multimeter for continuity. Before performing this test, unplug the dryer from the electrical outlet. Set you multimeter to the Rx1 setting and touch the terminals with the probes to test for continuity. If you receive a reading other than zero or infinity, there is no continuity and you will need a replacement thermal fuse. Another part to check is the timer. If the electrical components inside the timer are not working correctly, it can prevent the dryer from producing heat. To test it for continuity, set your multimeter to the Rx1 setting and place the probes on the timer's terminals. If you receive a reading of anything other than 2000-3000 ohms of resistance, you need a replacement timer. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

Set on Automatic High Heat-push start button-runs for about 5 minutes & quits. Dryer is hot on the outside. Clothes take too long to dry.
For model number AED4675YQ0
Hi Terry, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description, this issue is probably because of the clogged or dirty lint filter, part number PS16744854. It traps lint and debris from the exhaust air flowing from the dryer. You may have a clogged lint filter that causes the dryer over heated and due to overheating the thermostat then turn the dryer off. We would recommend checking the lint filter to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

Both the Low Heat and High Heat Auto Dry cycles are malfunctioning. The Low Heat cycle, on ANY setting, does NOT heat up.
While the High Heat cycle DOES heat up on every setting, the dryer shuts OFF when knob enters the Cool Down phase and clothes are still damp.
What part is malfunctioning?
Note: The Timed High Heat cycle works fine.
For model number AED4675YQ0
Hello Rita, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest checking the timer, part number PS11731366, to solve the problem. A malfunctioning timer can most probably cause this issue. We hope this helps!
