This is a door switch that is compatible with models of dryers. The door switch in a dryer is designed to communicate with the control board when the door is open or closed. If this door switch is damaged or not working properly, it will cause your dryer to incorrectly detect whether the door is closed and will normally result in your dryer not being able to start or stopping a cycle randomly. This door switch is made entirely of plastic with the door switch tab on one end, and its wire harness on the other. Replacing this door switch is easy but does require some slight disassembly of your dryer, which you will need a screwdriver and wrench for. This door switch is an OEM part and does not come with its necessary securing screws.
