Hello. I've done diagnostic on my washing machine. I get 2 error codes.
#1 E5d - communication problem with motor control.
#2 E41 - control board thinks the door switch is open.
Would you have any idea what could be the problem? I just made an account with you guys. But I have ordered a few times from yall. By the way. If it wasn't for you and your parts. I'd have gotten a new freezer when it went out
But MUCH THANKS to yall. A 40 dollar part fixed it and it is still running great!
For model number ELFW7537AW1
Hi Andrew,
Thank you for your question. For the E5d error code, you will need to test the motor for continuity with a multimeter on the Rx1 setting to see if it is operating normally. Touch the multimeter's probes to the terminals on the motor. You should receive a reading of zero or close to zero. Then with one probe still touching a terminal, touch the other probe to the bare metal housing of the motor. With this test, you are testing the ground connection and should not receive any reading from this test. If you do not get these readings, the drive motor will need to be replaced. For the E41 error code, make sure that the door is completely closed and that you hear a click when you shut the door. Also make sure that there are no obstacles keeping the door from closing completely. Check to make sure that the door strike is lined up with the catch on the door lock and inspect these parts to see if they are damaged. You can also test the door lock with a multimeter to see if it is operating normally. You should get a reading between 50 and 150 ohms. If you get any other reading, or if the door lock and strike show any signs of damage, you will need to replace them. We hope this helps!

latch broke, door wouldn't shut, washer wouldn't run - no fun
I googled the problem, read the recommendation found the part and read that it was an easy fix. Took the broken part off the door and noticed the broke off piece was in the latch on the machine. Ordered the two parts, paid the $30 2-day delivery. Parts arrived and the machine was up and runnning in under 5 minutes

Door lock wouldn't.
Remove two screws on attachment plate slide door lock plate out. Disconnect wire harness. Remove two screws on back side. Then reverse the process, done!
P.S. don't pay $32 for next working day it still took 3 days to arrive. doesn't help when your leaving in two.

Washer door always needed to be slammed to shut and finally the latch broke.
Unscrewed the two screws holding the latch and screwed on the new one. Took less than 5 minutes. The best part was that I ordered the latch on Friday and it was delivered on Saturday!
