All lights flashing and wont do anything
For model number GFW490RPK0DG
Hello Jerry, Thank you for writing. If all the lights are flashing, then the washer will not operate at all. This may indicate that the Pump Filter PartSelect Number PS8757227 or Drain Hose PartSelect Number PS10055829 are clogged. In this case, you can first inspect the filter in your GE washer and give it a cleaning if it's loaded with debris. We hope this helps.

Drain pump failed
Remove back cover and with a light and a mirror the screws can be identified. Three hold this pump on. Remove electrical connection then the pump. So also remove the corrugated connecting boot by undoing three clamps. Clean and reassemble

Riper gasket main, needed replaced.
After trying multiple times, multiple ways to stretch the gasket over the washer drum with no luck, I was able to get it installed but it took 2 more people. 4 hands to hold the gasket while the other person fits it around the drum. I noticed in the install videos they start the process then cut away, and magically the gasket is installed
