The freezer drawers have a lot of ice in them like it was either left open and it melted then froze again or there is some kind of ice build up. Is there a defrost board or sensor for this model?

My problem started with the ice maker not making ice. I replaced the water filter and it didnt help. I then turned the power off for about 15 minutes. When I turned the power back on I now have a flashing 1E code Can you help me?
For model number RF260BEAESRAA
Hi Richard, thank you for contacting us. We have found that the 1E error code means the refrigerator has lost power. This usually occurs from a power outage. When the 1E is displayed, the display panel will lose all functionality and the refrigerator will not dispense water or ice. Press and hold the energy savor button for 3 seconds. After pressing the button, the refrigerator will reset and resume normal operation. The ice maker should now dispense ice, and the water dispenser should now dispense water. If this does not help, we would recommend checking the ice maker assembly, part number PS5575313, to fix the issue. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Evaporator frozen (refrigrator section) and allowing top section to lose cooling
This is the Samsung French door refrigerator style that so many people have complained about freezing up and not cooling the top section. I first changed out the defrost thermostat and this did not correct the problem. I done a quick resistance check on the temp sensor that's mounted on the evaporator itself. The resistance would change w

hen holding an ice cube on the sensor so I just assumed it was ok. PLEASE TAKE NOTE: When performing a resistance check on this sensor, make sure your readings match the Samsung temp/resistance chart in their literature. My sensor was way off calibration and was causing the freeze up. Its working as designed now and DW is happy again. Learn from my mistake.

Interestingly, the few authorized samsung parts suppliers I found declared that this model did not have a lower icemaker, whereas this company actually had the specific part. The heater swap is completely straightforward, and simple, but for one detail. The insulation wrap is easily torn when pulling the tube out and my time was spent f
