What is causing my Freezer icemaker to leak and causing ice buildup in the back of the freezer

Hello Kathy, thank you for your question. It could be as simple as a faulty door seal PS4176607 allowing warm air to seep in. Other parts to check are Electronic Board, defrost heater PS9603659, or Temperature Sensor PS4138596. We hope this helps.

... Read morehen holding an ice cube on the sensor so I just assumed it was ok. PLEASE TAKE NOTE: When performing a resistance check on this sensor, make sure your readings match the Samsung temp/resistance chart in their literature. My sensor was way off calibration and was causing the freeze up. Its working as designed now and DW is happy again. Learn from my mistake.
I simply removed the old container & carefully removed all built up ice from the area that was to house the new container. This site helped me find the correct container in minutes. Will definitely use them again.
