Ice maker leaks water in ice collection tray, make no ice cubes?
For model number RS264ABSH
Hi Richard, thank you for contacting us. We have researched the model and would suggest making sure the water line fittings are secure and the water pressure to the inlet valve is at least 20 Psi. Low water pressure or leaks in the water inlet valve, part number PS4146154, might cause the water to move directly into the ice collection tray. This may result in no ice cubes made by the ice maker. We hope this information helps!
My ice maker is not making ice at a normal rate. It freezes but not dumping for hours. At other times, it works normal. I can push the button on the bottom of the ice maker and get it to dump and refill. Sometimes we have plenty of ice, other times, we have little to no ice.
For model number RS264ABSH
Hi Bob, thank you for contacting us. Based on our research, the most likely cause of this issue is a faulty control board, part number PS4139722, which may need to be replaced. We hope this sorts out your problem!
Barely losened the two rear screws. Took out the two front screws and the ice maker slides toward front of fridge off the 2 rear screws. Unhooked the wiring plug. Replaced with new ice maker.
Using the putty knife, pry off the faceplate for the ice/water dispenser. Disconnect the wire harness. Using philips head screwdriver, remove the dispenser assembly. Remove the old dispenser and replace. Reverse for reassembly. Note * I should have bought the water dispenser lever and replaced it as well since I had the assembly out.
... Read more Secondary note * be mindful during reassembly to not put pressure on the water dispenser or have a glass handy. :)
