The dishwasher door doesn't hold. When I open it, it goes all the way. This dishwasher was installed in a newly built home. I didn't notice it since was not using it.

Hi Zhijian, thank you for reaching out. This means that the tension on the door springs isn’t strong enough to keep the door closed. The spring, part number PS11753142, is compatible with your model. We hope this helps!

I’ve noticed occasional dripping from where water level switch is located (left side of the standpipe). Since first noticing the very small leak on our floor along our counters a few days ago, I’ve removed the access panel and watched about a dozen cycles now to find the source. I have only seen it happen twice since seeing the water on the floor. I see the water level float lever go up and down and hear clicking as it moves, which seems to indicate proper function. There is no other water anywhere else and no further leak. Is it a switch problem or float?
For model number WDT720PADM1
Hi Michelle, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description you have provided, we would suggest checking the float switch, part number PS11750031. It shuts the water fill valve off if the water level gets too high before the timed fill cycle ends. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

I previously purchased and replaced the heating element because the water would not get hot and the dishes would not dry. My order reference # was 41114243. The old element looked to be in good shape. What else would cause the water temperature to not be properly elevated to clean and dry the dishes. This unit is not very old.
For model number WDT720PADM1
Hi James, thank you for contacting us. If your dryer element is working, then you need to check the high-limit thermostat, part number PS11743423, for issues. The thermostat should read closed at room temp. You can test this with a multimeter. If your dishwasher is not cleaning properly, we would also recommend cleaning the dishwasher's filter, part number PS11759673. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

dishwasher not draining after wash cycle
Caviat: The actual repair is less than 15 minutes, but I spent a lot of time playing with it before I figured out it was that easy and fast. You don't need to remove the dishwasher from the counter to do this. And it will probably help to look at the new part closely so you can understand where the retainer clip is to press it and release

the old pump.
First remove the water from the dishwasher pan that would not drain with a wet/dry vac. Otherwise the water will all drain on the floor when you remove the pump. Then remove the two screws on the kickplate on the front of the unit below the door. Remove the kickplate/maintainence access cover. The drain pump is on the right about 8 inches in. Using two hands you grasp the drain pump with your right hand and use the left hand to push the retaining clip down. Then the drain pump will rotate 1/4 turn counterclockwise and can be removed without pulling the dishwasher out. There is likely to be some water leak out that was traped in the pump housing that you can not reach with the vac. Disconnect the wire. Connect the wire to the new pump, put it in place and 1/4 turn clockwise to install it. Replace the kickplate and you're done.
