Easy Repair, Great Part, Worked as expected!
Pleased they had the part in stock - watched a few videos to get comfortable with the replacement process since the freezer would be in use and not unplugged etc when the replacement occurred.
The hot water to soften the areas where it is folding in shipping works well and I think it might make sense to warm the entire piece to help all the rubber relax a bit, before drying and then installing. A relaxed gasket will more naturally fill the space it needs to and will create a better seal.

8 minutes and done!
Original GE part, fit like a glove. A child could do this repair. Refrigerate runs a lot less as the old seal leaked.

Ice in freezer around the seal and water dripping from freezer door.
Shut off the refrigerator and remove the two baskets in the freezer remove freezer compartment door . I payed the door on a table this made impossible for easier Replacement of the new seal . Especially because of the age of the refrigerator. There was no problem reinstalling the door.
