The stamped metal potion of the part looks the same. Ours had a metal screen, not the white(ceramic?) insert. The screen fell out. Is this the correct replacement part?

Hello Andre, Thank you for the question. The Screen is only sold as part of the Adapter PartSelect Number: PS1146692. The manufacture has updated this part and may look different but will still fit and work he same as the original. Hope this helps!

The inner core of this part fell out. I was going to order part # 318317100 to replace. I have attempted to twist the old tube out of the top of the oven and also pry it out of the top of the oven. Neither seems to work. I put my finger in the tube and it feels like the tube makes a turn ( like L shaped).
So the questions being is does this unit replacement just insert into the existing tube?
If no, are you able to give me the for sure method to remove the old and insert the new. Thanks for your feedback.

have in wall kenmore stove. need to pull out the adapter assembly vent tube with converter part select #PS1146692; manufacturer part #318317100 how do i remove the one that just spit out its honeycomb ceramic piece and then replace it?

Hello Gerry, thank you for reaching out. The honeycomb screen is a part of the adapter assembly. In order to replace it, you need to replace the whole adapter assembly. Twist and turn the existing part to release it and then insert the new part by tapping it in place. We hope this helps. Good luck with the repair!
