Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This part is a replacement surface heating element for your range. The heating element is the heating source for the range, and connects to the power source. This part is 8 inches in diameter and is typically used as the large burner element on your range. Be sure to check that you need an 8-inch burner element and not the smaller size. This part is sold individually and is an OEM part from the manufacturer.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Doesn't wirk
I figured this part would be great, since I had to put in the model number and all. Turns out to be a fire hazard. Everytime the oven is bumped the eye sparks.

With part no. 57 there is a 3 pronged piece that holds the element up. Does that part come seperately. My burners work fine but that part looks rusty and i can not clean it. Thank you.
For model number JB250DF1WW
Hello Susan, Thank you for your inquiry. The receptacle clip part# WB02K10381 for the burner is sold separately or as part of the surface burner terminal block kit, part# WB17X210. Hope this helps!

Can’t adjust temperature on Large heating elements. When turned on they stay very hot no matter what setting
For model number JBP23DR2CC
Hello Tim, Thank you for the question. This is normally an indication the Surface Burner Switch that controls the element will need to be replaced. We also suggest checking the wiring to the switches and elements for damage and make sure everything is secure. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
Are the surface top coils designed to completely glow red when operating on high? Mine glow only in parts of the coil, the stove is 6 years old.
For model number JS28DN3WW
Hi Joseph, thank you for your question. It should be glowing completely red, yes. You can test the parts that control the burner and the burner itself to see what the issue is. Be sure to cut power to your appliance and remove any parts before doing tests. There are a couple of parts that could cause this issue specifically. You will need a multi meter to be able to test the parts. The first part you will want to check is your element. It should be reading between 0 - 50 ohms to be working correctly. The other part to check would be your infinite (or surface burner) switch. When you remove that part from the appliance, connect each probe from your multi meter to the prongs and then turn the switch to an on position. If you get no continuity then the switch is the issue. It could also be your wiring that is the issue but you should see visual damage on that part in most cases. Good luck with your repair.
