My dishwasher wouldn’t start. I could select the cycle but the start button did nothing.
I bought a $6 multimeter from Harbor Freight, followed the simple instructions for calibrating it, and used it to test the door latch assembly and electronic board. I knew both were not faulty because the meter reading went from 1 to 0. The problem had to be the control panel. I took out the top 6 screws on the door. I used pliers to disconnected the wires from the door latch assembly and electronic board. Then I carefully removed both parts by loosening their latches. I also unplugged the green ribbon connecting the old control panel to the electronic board. I removed the door handle by removing the screw. Then I put all these parts back into the new control panel.
