Great part, took longer to get to me than normal but I don’t think it was part select problem. The part is fine and fit but did not fix my knocking noise during the spin cycle on my Maytag bravos 2. Going to try the bearing next

It is good to watch a video on how to! Most went well, like all repairs, there are surprises, that make It take longer than expected. Once I put it back together and ran it, there was a UL code. Noisy during spin cycle
Repair was pretty straight forward with the exception of removing the agitator. Hint, do not force it, just continue to work it until it releases. Problem was not entirely corrected, but improved.

Whirlpool cabrio would not go into the spin function without triggering an error code of 5d
Removed the center cover of the agitator with a flathead. Removed the nut of the agitator main cover. Had trouble taking the cover off because of the crud holding it down I wiggled it up gently alternating n,s and e,w until I eventually saw it separating from the bottom of the basket. Once it came off you could see how nasty the old hub a

Cleaned the shaft and that general area. Installed the new hub assembly, replaced the covers. Ran the drain and spin cycle and it worked with no problem. There are videos on YouTube that show you too. DO NOT try to pry the agitator cover if it won’t rise up easily. Be patient and it will come out.

I think i need to repair the basket hub, the machine is making alot of noise when agitating, is there a video on this? I dont think i need to take the machine housing of i think i can get it from the top. Does cap just pop off. And is it normal for the inner basket to move up and down about a half inch
For model number WTW8200YW0
Hello Randy, Thank you for your inquiry. At this time, we do not have a video for this part, To replace the basket hubs, remove the cover from the agitator cap with a flat blade screwdriver. Pull the cover inside the agitator off, then take the agitator bolt off, use a 7/16 inch socket with a long extension and hold the tub so it does not turn. Take the agitator off, then reach in and lift out the lower part of the agitator out. Now you can access the basket hub. You may want to put towels down to cover the drain holes to make sure that the screws don't fall down the holes. Use a philips screwdriver to remove the screws, hold the tub again to keep it from spinning and be careful not to strip the screws as you are taking them out. Pull the hub out, it should come out in two pieces-a larger driven hub and a smaller white drive hub that has the gear teeth on top, pull both out. Since the kit comes with two types of driven hubs, compare the old one with the ones in the kit to see which one you should use. Put the smaller white driver hub in first, then the larger driven hub in, lining up the screw holes. Replace the screws, then the lower and upper parts of the agitator. Tighten down the agitator bolt, then replace the cover and cap. Hope this helps!

Will this fix roaring noise when spinning?
For model number WTW8800YC1
Hi Sam,
Thank you for your inquiry. This could be one of the parts that would fix that problem. I would suggest also looking at your suspension rods to see if they are still in good condition as well. Good luck with your repair.

Machine is very noisy when spinning, brown oil all around outside of machine underneath seems to be coming from motor under tub. What would it take to fix this? Thank you larry
For model number WTW7300XW1
Hello Larry, thank you for your question. We would recommend replacing Part Number: W10820039 Basket Hub Kit that can cause the noise and allow for the oil and grease to come into the tub. You will want to check both the Stator part PS11754517 and the Rotor part PS993018 for your model as the cause of the grease. We hope this helps.

I have this Maytag bravos xl washing machine and it is very noisy at the end of wash cycles especially in the spin cycle. Also the ul un level code pops up at times. It seems very rough turning in spin cycle and very noisy.I have been looking into problems on it on other sites but your is the most helpful and i have been reading other questions and for this problem itmany problems come back.I am seeing the basket hub kit, bearing and seal kit, suspension rods, all of those seem to be coming up alot. Would your possibly be able to shed some light for this model washer about what your think main problems might be and parts needed to fix it. If the bearing and seal kit is one, could your please give me the part number to beable to look it up and locate it. Thanks so very much for your time.
For model number MVWB725BW0
Hello Justin, thank you for your question. It sounds like an issue with the sensor PartSelect Number PS11749664 and basket hub kit PartSelect Number: PS11723155. The sensor helps to ensure the load of clothing stays balanced during the wash cycle, that part failing could cause the un level code to happen. The noise at the end of the cycle could be caused by the hub kit. I hope this helps!

Will this kit fix the noise when in the wash/spin cycle? Can i install this kit from the top of the agator with the top lid open? this washing machine is 3 1/2 years old and used in a single family home with 2 people.
For model number WTW8200YWO
Hello Frank, thank you for writing. Yes, this may fix that issue. It is located under the Washplate, so the Washplate will have to be removed to install the Basket Hub Kit. You may also want to consider the Suspension Rod Support part PS3502189 for your model. We hope this helps.
