This is an official gas igniter for various models of oven. This part is used to ignite the burner within models of gas GE ovens. If your oven is experiencing heating issues, this igniter has likely failed or will fail imminently, and will need to be replaced. Replacing this igniter will require a screwdriver, pliers, and a wrench. This igniter is sold as an individual OEM part and does not come with any other parts.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money

Easy DIY Repair
A glass Pyrex dish (we will be contacting Pyrex with the bill...LOL!) exploded inside our oven when making brownies. In the process of vacuuming out all the glass shards, I clumsily destroyed the igniter...wife WAS P/O'd!...In my defense, the igniter's probe is EXTREMELY delicate. Use caution if you are doing anything around it or replacing one. I was able to order the EXACT General Electric replacement from Parts Select, but the first one arrived more broken than the one I was replacing! I contacted their customer service, and they sent me a new one which arrived in perfect condition...easy installation, wife is HAPPY AGAIN!!! CROWD GOES CRAZY, and we are celebrating with brownies...MADE IN A METAL PAN!!! Thanks, Parts Select!!!

Gas oven was not lighting (bake only)
Repair was very easy. 2 screws to remove the bottom cover inside the oven. 2 more screws to remove the igniter. Cut the wires to remove it from the back of the oven. 3 screws to remove the back cover. Un-clipped old igniter , pushed new one through the hole (from inside the oven). Connected and re-applied screws. Worked like a charm.
