Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This dual surface element control switch is a genuine OEM replacement part designed to fit select models of stoves, ovens, and ranges. The control switch is an essential component that allows you to turn the surface element on and off, as well as regulate the amount of heat the element produces. If your stove’s surface element isn’t heating properly, fluctuates in temperature, or won’t turn off, replacing the control switch can restore full functionality. Before installation, ensure the range is unplugged, or disconnect the power at the house circuit breaker to avoid electrical hazards. The surface element control switch is usually located behind the stove’s front control panel. To install, remove the panel and disconnect the old switch from the wiring harness. Install the new switch by securing it in place and reconnecting the wiring to match the original configuration. After installation, turn the power back on and test the surface element to verify it operates correctly.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Very easy repair that shouldn't be necessary
KitchenAid has been disappointing, this is the second switch that has fused together on a range less than eighteen months old, The switch takes only a few minutes to replace. The hardest part is pulling the range out to work on it, I would guess it took five to ten minutes to replace the switch. I hope they are of better quality than the originals that came with the range.

My left front burner is working but does not respond to the control knob, which part do I need to oreder.
For model number JES1750ES0
Hi Linda,
Thank you for your question. If the front-left burner does not respond when you try to adjust the temperature, the switch controlling it may be malfunctioning and it will need to be replaced. Before inspecting the switch, unplug the range from the electrical outlet. Inspect the wires near the switch for any signs of burning, or overheated wires, and terminals. If no issues are found, remove the switch in order to test it for continuity. Using a multimeter on the Rx1 mode, test for continuity by touching the L1 and H1 terminals with the probes. Once you have completed that test, touch the probes to the L2 & H2 terminals. If your test results indicate that there is no continuity between one or both sets of terminals, you need a replacement infinite switch. The part number for the left front burner switch is PS11731368. We hope this helps!

Element turns on for a minute then shuts off. Is it the burner switch or element?
For model number YKFEG500EWH2
Hello Frank, thank you for getting in touch. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend that you check the following parts for continuity: the control board, part number PS12070680, the burner switch, part number PS11731368, the right rear burner switch, part number PS11769788, and the surface element switch, part number PS11770037. The switches can be replaced depending on the particular burner that is not working, as each of these switches controls a specific dual element. If the switches and the control board are working fine, you may need to replace that particular element. We hope this information helps!
