Leaky and moldy gaskets
Our refrigerator is about 29 years old. We were told once that a gasket repair would cost more than a new fridge. Not so. It cost about $230 for both the fridge and freezer gasket. We had some rust that had developed from not replacing them sooner around some of the screws. They had to be cut out and replaced with the next size up to hold well. We cleaned everything thoroughly including behind the door compartments. We took those off the door. The guy in the video doesn’t do that. We replaced our freezer insulation also as it had gotten wet and was completely frozen. Overall, it took much longer because of our neglect over the years and believing someone when they said to just buy a new refrigerator. We love this one again, as much as we did when we bought it. The gaskets fit perfectly and after taping the doors shut overnight, they seal extremely well. We are very pleased.

Getting the gaskets to fit under the panel.
Watched the video you posted with the part and getting the gasket to fit like he did was not as easy as he made it look. Took me a few hours and before I was done the lights went out from a power failure but I was able to finish because the drill was battery operated. I may have saved money doing it myself but not time.

Bad freezer door gasket
I wouldn't do it without taking the door off. Cut insulation board the size of the door and tape it to the frig. Lay the door on the table where you can work on it easy. You can use a small drill to take the screws out (under the seal). Put them back by hand and do not over tighten. They are easy to strip out where they won't hold the gasket tight to the door.

replace freezer gasket
best advice was to not remove the screws holding the gasket in, but just to loosen them. Old gasket easily removed. Most difficult part was getting the new gasket in at the corners. Using a plastic spatula helped as did tightening up some of the screws once a corner was fitted (so it would not pop out as you moved on to the next corner.

torn gaskets
let gaskets on cement patio in high ungodly chicago heat during sun shine. freezer had to remove the door 8 bolts . no problem. cleaned area and gasket fit to a tee. top part removed the upper nuts and 4 side ones left and right side . popped the gasket on top and screwed in the center bolt. there are one centering bolt on each side. this insures a sure fitting. worked my way side to side and finnally bottom. did not tighten bolts till gasket fit snug in the groove.

The freezer door gasket had a tear in it on the top right side.
The repair was relatively simple: Remove all the screws/fasteners with a nut driver. Separate the door liner from the door frame. Remove the old gasket. Fit the new gasket to the door liner and align with the holes in the door frame. Replace the screws.

The above number is not the model number I found in the refrigerator but I had to choose a number to submit this question. The number (BX21VL P1321503WL SN 9906122398) is off the label in the refrigerator. I have included the serial number as well. Looking for the correct freezer gasket replacement part. The freezer door is leaking. We removed the liner of the door. The insulation is soaked along the bottom. We believe that is why it is leaking. Is there a replacement for the insulation or door liner?
