Just added a full home water filter system, an i'm looking for a filter bypass.

Is this cap considered to be a bypass plug? Our water to the refrig is already going thru a filtration system and the filter in the refrig is not needed. If it is not can you recommend the right item?

I do see a very slow drip of water from the water filter housing. I ordered new filter (wf-lc400) but it won't come with cap. I suspect if buying this cap (ps11739086) will solve the drip problem! Please advise.

Hello Rahath, Thank you for your inquiry. You may also want to check the connectors on the water filter housing as well as they may have become cracked or loose where the water lines are inserted into them. Hope this helps.
The above model nbr is for my Whirlpool refrigerator. Inadvertently the water filter cap was thrown away with the old water filter. I need a new cap and am wondering if p/n #ps11739086 is a match for the above refrigerator model? If not, please advise what replacement cap part nbr i should order so my replacement water and ice filter will properly install and properly filter as intended.
