My jenn air model jds9860, continues to heat past bake set point the thermostat is working as it is reading temp as it heats to set point. The top element counties to stay on until overheat is reached. Would this be a faulty control board?

Hello Jim, thank you for your question. This issue would be in relation to a bad sensor, or a bad electronic control board. To determine which is the problem test the sensor. It will need to be disconnected and tested with an ohm meter. At normal room temperature, the oven temperature sensor should have a resistance of 1050-1100 ohms. If it is not close to this it would need to be replaced. If the sensor is tested and reads within that range, the issue is the electronic control board and would have to be replaced. Good luck with your repair!

Oven control panel shuts off and on intermittently and blinks when power returns. Is this faulty panel or power issue?

I just had this part replaced on my range from Jenn Air because it takes at least an hour for the oven to preheat to 350 Fahrenheit. Unfortunately, replacing this part did not help. There is nothing in the oven except for the racks that came with it. What should I do next? I am not sure if the burner element in the oven needs to be replaced.

Hello Ash, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the issue is most probably with the temperature sensor, part number PS1570174. It measures the oven temperature and sends the information to the control board. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this helps!

Hello, my Jenn air range takes nearly an hour to preheat past 300 degrees. I believe it was only getting 120V. It’s not the elements (tested with multimeter) so I replaced the Electronic Control Board as suggested but this has not fixed the issue. Any other suggestions?

Hi Rick, thank you for reaching out. We suggest testing the oven sensor. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Thank you for the inquiry, good luck with the repair!

Oven will not reach temp over about 250, temp sensor oms ok, so does lower heating element but it does not get very hot. Repairman says heating element is not getting 240v only 120v needs to replace the control panel, is this likely? Broiler works ok and convection fan comes on.

Hello Tom, Thank you for your inquiry. I would also check the high limit thermostat first, part# WP71001844. If the continuity on that checks out ok, then test the electronic control board. Good Luck with your repair!
