ice is made in a big block but does not slide off to cutting tray. Next cycle just makes the ice larger and larger until I have to shut the whole machine down and let is sit to melt the ice. I just replaced recirculating pump ....is the evaporator chill plate the right part ?
For model number KUIX535HPS00
Hello Michael, thank you for contacting us. Based on our research, the issue is not due to the evaporator chill plate. It is the heat exchanger that cools the ice maker. The issue is most probably with the water inlet valve, part number PS11765823. You may need to replace it to solve the problem. Glad to be of help!
"Ice" begins to form on the chill plate, more like a frost layer, but then it all melts without ever making ice. Could it be the evaporator thermistor or is is something more involved? And if it is the evap thermistor, I cannot figure out where the wiring terminates - in case I have to replace it.
For model number WUI75X15HZ01
Hi Edmond, thank you for reaching out. Based on our research, there is no evaporator thermistor listed under your model. The issue could be with the ice maker bin temperature sensor, part number PS11755842. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
Ice maker won't stop making ice or ice is overflowing.
For model number WUI75X15HB01
Hi Mike, thank you for contacting us. The issue could be with the water inlet valve, part number PS11738179. It ensures the ice maker receives the correct amount of water to produce ice efficiently. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
My ice machine is not making ice. Everything seems to be functioning correctly except the freeze tray does not seem to be getting cold at all. Am I on the right track replacing this part?
For model number KUID308ESS2
Hi Josh, thank you for your question! Under the evaporator is an accumulator, which is a round bulb. Reach inside and under the evaporator and feel that bulb. If it is not completely frosted and ice cold, your unit has a leak. You may need to replace the evaporator, part number PS11750557, and compressor, part number PS11756696. We hope this helps, good luck with the repair!
Machine has lost cooling, ice was gone and interior quite warm. Compressor runs fine. Copper refrigerant lines running from evaporator to condensing unit are quite green and corroded, I suspect one has a hole... The complete assembly looks to have all the lines back to the compressor/condenser/hot gas valve. Right?
For model number KUIC18PNXS2
Hello Paul, thank you for contacting us. The evaporator assembly, part number PS11750557, contains all the lines back to the compressor, the condenser, and the hot gas valve. We would recommend replacing it to solve the problem. We hope this helps!
