Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This triple surface element switch is an essential control component for electric ranges with multi-size burners. It allows for precise temperature adjustments by regulating the power flow to a triple surface element, enabling accurate heat distribution for a range of cooking needs. Whether you're simmering delicate sauces or searing meats, this switch provides consistent and reliable performance. Designed to meet OEM standards, it ensures a proper fit and long-term durability. The switch functions by cycling the power on and off to maintain the selected heat level. It's important to disconnect power to the appliance before installation and use proper safety gear such as work gloves. Although similar in appearance, these switches can vary slightly in shape or size, so always confirm compatibility with your specific model before replacing.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money

stove top electric burner switch would not regulate intensity of burner.
pulled stove away from wall. took back cover off by removing 10 screws. Identified switch number and ordered replacement switch. pulled knob off front and removed 2 screws from switch and pulled switch out. swapped switch wires and reinstalled switch, back cover and slid stove back into place. Very easy, the whole process took about 1/2

The triple burner only works on high, and only all 3 come on. Would that be a switch problem or a burner problem ?
For model number MER8775AS0
Hi Craig, Thank you for the question. This sounds like a issue with the switch.Only way to know for sure before replacing the switch is to test the switch and element for continuity with a multi meter. Hope this helps!

The left side front burner doesn't regulate properly. This is a triple burner and the one switch has 3 positions to regulate each of the burners. Would this be the correct switch?

My front left burner only heats up to hi no matter what temperature I put it on. Would replacing the infinite switch resolve the issue
For model number WFE714HLAS1
Hi Victoria, thank you for getting in touch. Yes, the issue is most probably with the infinite switch, part number PS11754114. It turns the surface element on and off and controls how much heat the element produces. We would recommend replacing it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
