Not good!!!
I did receive my part in a timely manner. However the part was broken. So I ended up ordering the part from another site. It was unfortunate.

My dryer will not turn on. It did not make any sounds or smell on the last load. Could this be a starter switch issue?
For model number Nef4655ew0
Hi Angela, Thank you for the question. I suggest replacing or testing with a multi-meter, the Push To Start switch. If there is no Continuity on the switch it will need to be replaced.Hope this helps!

Dryer will only work if you hold in the start button. Is the switch bad.
For model number NED4600YQ1
Hello Debi, Thank you for your inquiry. To determine if the start switch is defective, attempt to start the dryer. If the dryer hums but does not start, the start switch is not at fault. You can check the switch with a multimeter to see if it is working. We would recommend you check the following parts as well, the door switch, both the internal bias and hi-limit thermostat, the thermal cut off kit, the thermal fuse and the main control board. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, there are YouTube videos available to assist you. Hope this helps!

Hello Debi, Thank you for your inquiry. To determine if the start switch is defective, attempt to start the dryer. If the dryer hums but does not start, the start switch is not at fault. Use a multimeter to test the start switch for continuity. If the switch does not have continuity, replace it. I would also check the thermal fuse, the thermostats, the thermal cut off kit, the door switch, the control panel and the main control board. Good luck with your repair!

Amana dryer. Dryer stopped working halfway through the cycle and won't work now. I checked the obvious things like lint buildup and power to the dryer. Took off back panel, checked that there's power to the switch and there is. If I set the timer on and press the start stop button I hear a small hum for a second but nothing else...
For model number YNED4655EW1
Hi Pete, thank you for the question. As you have checked the lint build up, we would suggest checking the push to start switch, part number PS11754549. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
