cold water inlet valve bad
Ordered the inlet assembly from this site. Received it the day after I received the notice it shipped. Watched their video of how to replace the part. Easy job, done in 15 minutes. Only needed a screwdriver to take the cover off the back of the washer control panel. A company wanted $400 to replace the part. Definitely recommend the

Is there a screen in the water inlet port? My washer has a very low water pressure into the machine. It is not in the water line. Do i need to replace the machine?
For model number RTW4640YQ1
Hi Larry,
Thank you for your question. There are screens in the water inlet valve that catch debris. Sometimes if they become clogged they can prevent the proper flow of water from flowing through them. The screens on the water inlet valve can be damaged easily if cleaned. If the problem is with the screens, you may need to replace the water inlet valve. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

This four year old washer behaves as follows; any cycle selection, - pushing the start button, the left light lites, the lid log makes a noise and engages, the agitator turns slowly, and then the lid lock disengages. No water flow at all. Checked hoses and filters. Both good. Is this a typical lid latch issue or a water valve issue or is there another problem. The issue(s) have happened over a few weeks, firstly the tub would not fully drain, and now it does virtually nothing except be powered. With the cost of the various parts, it may be cheaper to simply buy new. Certainly cannot afford a repair professiona. However, i would think that a four year old machine would not become obsolete.
For model number MVWC425BW0
Hello Ken, thank you for your question. It sounds like the water valve has failed. The washer should lock, then fill with water. If the water valve isn't opening to allow water to the unit the lid lock will unlatch and the unit will not run. We would recommend replacing the water valve PartSelect Number: PS11757114. If that doesn't fix the issue the water level pressure hose could be kinked, or the pressure switch may have failed which could cause the unit to not fill as well. I hope this helps!

Hello, i asked earlier about the washer flashing code f8e1, i was told to check the air pressure tube for damage and i did not see any damage on the tube even blew threw it and didnt feel any air. The inlet valave seems to be in good condition, i dont see any warping or anything like that. When i took the back of the washer off and the removed the drain tube water came out, could there be something wrong with the pump? Or does the code f8e1 only mean the pressure tube and valve? If it helps any the washer goes through the cycle and by the time it gets to spin it will spin once and then the lights turn off but the lock lid light and it makes noises and then that light turns off and the wash light will turn on and just sit there, the clothes are still wet when i open the lid. However the only code flashing is f8e1.Thank you for the help
For model number wtw5000dw0
Hello Nicole, Thank you for your follow up! Next I am suggesting to do a continuity test on the lid switch itself. It is a safety mechanism and if it fails the washer will not spin. It is normal for some water to come out of the drain tube in small amounts however it should not be anything excessive. I hope this helps!

This is just a follow up from my last two questions about my washer. I did check the lid lock and its okay, i can even put the washer on drain and spin and it does just fine. However its still doing what i described in my last message about getting to rinse and then the Green lights turning off and just the lid lock light stays on and i can hear the pump or drain doing something and then the lid light turns off and it goes to wash and just sits there, the same error code is coming up as f8e1. The water is going into the machine just fine as well.....would it just be safe to assume i should go ahead and just get a new pressure hose and replace it incase there is a hole or something wrong somewhere that im not seeing? i just dont want to buy 10 different parts to fix one thing.
thank you for all the help!
For model number wtw5000dw0
Hello Nicole, Thank you for contacting us! The only other things I can think of checking would be PS11752017 2 position selector switch, PS11752020 5 position selector switch, and PS10056798 CNTRL-ELEC. I would like you to test these parts with the multimeter. Good luck with your repair!

The washer was filling very slowly, so we removed screens and at the time removed some plastic water diverter? Inside water valve, now the washer just keeps filling up and it doesn't stop, and the wash cycle isn't finishing? We are trying to find replacement part for that small plastic thing we took out, please help?
For model number MVWC415EW
Hello Kathleen, Thank you for the question. If the part removed was in the Water inlet valve. The vale will need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

This washer does not fill with hot water. The hot water inlet solenoid seems to open and close intermittently. Will replacing the water inlet valve assembly solve this problem?
For model number 1105072012
Hi Ralph,
Thank you for your question. Usually if your water inlet valve is malfunctioning replacing it would fix the issue. You can make sure that it is your inlet valve with a multi meter though. I would suggest testing the hot water solenoid of your valve there to be sure. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
