POWER SURGE TOOK OUT THE POWER INVERTER
ONCE WE KNEW THE COMPRESSOR WAS NO LONGER FUNCTIONING , USED A MULTI METER TO VERIFY 120 VOLTAGE TO THE INVERTER WAS PRESENT, FOUND 120 VOLTAGE TO THE INVERTER WITH NO VOLTAGE TO THE COMPRESSOR. OHMS OUT THE COMPRESSOR, FOUND IT WAS WITH IN SPECS. REPLACED THE INVERTER AND ALL IS WELL ONCE AGAIN.

I can't seem to find the relay that starts the compressor as in older models. Is the relay integrated in the inverter box?
For model number WRS973CIDM00
Hi Curtis,
Thank you for your question. The inverter board controls the compressor. If the compressor is not working this would be the part to replace. If you need help placing an order for it, customer service is open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

I have no power at refrigerator. Outlet has power and power cord has continuity. The only control board I can find is the inverter board. Could this be my problem?
For model number WRV986FDEM01
Hello Brien, thank you for getting in touch. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the power control board, part number PS11756815, to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
The refrigerator stopped working twice. First time we were home, just by opening and closing the freezer it started working again. Second time we were gone for a few weeks. Everything was warm and moldy. we opened and closed the draws and turned the power off and on, its started working again.
would the inverter cause this symptom? It's working now which makes it tough to diagnose. one month between problems
For model number KRMF706ESS01
Hello William, thank you for writing. Yes. It could be the Inverter box. Regular refrigerators just switch on and off depending on the temperature inside the fridge, inverter fridges have a variable-speed compressor. This variable speed lets the inverter compressor adjust its power and running speed based on how much cooling the fridge demands. Good luck with your repair.
