What part would fix error code AE on dishwasher??

The seal on the bottom of the door is deteriorating, the dishwasher is three years old, is this normal? Or are we doing something wrong? also should I change the door seal at the same time?

Hello Doug, Thank you for your inquiry. Seals can get squeezed over time to the point where they no longer seal properly or debris can get caught in the seal and deteriorate it further. You can check the door gasket to see if there is any visible damage and if so, replace it. We hope this helps.
