Revised Reservoir Worked Great!
The original reservoir was not produced anymore by Fridgedair for my model year. However they made the newer models fit mine just fine. Though it has about 1/3 less water volume, it installed easy with no leaks.

Great part
I recieved the reservoir and was at first taken back. The OEM part is a two reservoir part. (One in back and one in front) This was a single reservoir unit with it being in the front. I removed the original and installed the replacement part. It fit great and resolved my leak problem. Very happy with the replacement part.
One tip for anyone. Use an open end 1/2 inch wrench to push in the tube end locks (mine were blue) to remove the existing reservoir ends from the unit.

Small water leak from cracked fitting leading into water reservoir fill valve.
Remove some shelving and have a towel handy. Opened water filter door to expose two 1/4” screws. Removed 2 screws. Placed my hands firmly on upper panel and gently pulled/tugged panel forward and slightly down. Disconnected roof lighting clip. Removed panel from frig. Disconnected both ends from solenoid fill valves by pressing in the co

I also removed the straight reservoir seeing as the part I replace was redesigned and the other one was not needed. Put new zip ties in place. Slid the new part into position and pressed the ends into the solenoid valves. You do not need to press in colored locking pieces, they will self lock. Secured with zip ties. Grabbed a container and filled it up with water through the door to fill and purge and check for leaks. Reconnect light clip, reinstalled top liner and snapped into place. Put screws in. Closed filter door. Took about 15 minutes. I did watch a you tube video prior to attempting this repair myself.

Water was leaking when ice maker or water dispenser was being used.
Looked for the same repair on line by model number. I found it, watched the repair, then used those instructions to complete the repair on my refrigerator. The disassembly and reassembly took longer than actually replacing the part. It now works beautifully with NO leaks.

I just sent in a question. Wanted to make one point. In the liner diagram, part #4 is the reservoir. The diagram image of #4 is how my unit looks (a straight and curved reservoir). I started to order part #4, but the image of the actual part only show the U shap with connection lines on each end. It does show the straight reservoir connected to the U like the diagram drawing.
Sincerely - Confused,
Matthew

Hi Matthew,
Thank you for your question. It looks like the reservoir has been updated where the straight reservoir is no longer included. The reservoir just includes the u-shaped section. Where it is listed under your model number, it should function the same. If you need help placing an order for it, customer service is open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

For model number wrf736sdam12
Hello Larry, Thank you for your inquiry. For the model number that you have provided, the water reservoir is in the ceiling behind the access panel above the water filter housing. You would need to remove the water filter, then unthread the screws securing the panel to access the reservoir. We hope this helps.

Hi Larry, thank you for contacting us. To remove the top panel, grab it firmly from the water filter cavity and pull it down. Then, disconnect the electrical connector. The top panel cover will come off, and the reservoir will become visible. We hope this helps!
