This is in reference to the f5 alarm that will not stop until the lid is lifted. We did check and there isn't any obstruction. Are you recommending replacing the part that you referenced in the other reply?

Would the lid latch switch cause the machine not to work and it still holds power when it’s not plugged in

I have a F5 code, lid is locked even when power is off. tried reset with no effect. Washer won't let me do anything.

I’m getting an f5 error code, and will not engage lid lock, there is nothing on the lid or in the way, washers spins slightly and then throws code, is this a faulty latch?

Sometimes at the end of cycle a f5 error code will flash and the machine has a audible alarm that will not stop until the lid is lifted? What does the f5 error code mean?

Thank you for your question. The F5 alert indicates the washer can't engage the lid lock because there may be an obstruction in the lid lock area. Please check the lid lock area and remove any objects in that area, if there aren't any obstructions and it is still showing the code, the lid lock switch, or the latch, under part PS12348765 for your model.
