Ice maker failure
Watched a you tube video, followed instructions, took less than 20 minutes to remove and install new ice maker. After I installed, ice maker didn’t work. Went back on you tube and learned I had to turn “on” the ice maker via the panel on the front of the refrigerator door. It’s been working great!

The in door ice-maker stopped making ice
Turn off the electrical breaker for the refrigerator. On my unit the ice-maker was inside the left door. On the inside of that door is a plastic door where the ice bin is located. Open both doors and remove the ice bin. Behind the ice bin is the ice-maker. Beneath the ice-maker is a screw holding a plastic cover. Remove the screw and unho

Always be careful when putting the screws back. They were two different lengths and head sizes. Turn backward at first to line up the threads. If you strip out the plastic, game over. Good luck

Ice maker stopped making ice. Ran diagnostic and the ice maker seemed to run the cycle but at the end no water was dispensed to tray. Heard a click like it tried. Water dispenser works fine
For model number GFE26GSKFSS
Hello Robert, Thank you for the question. We suggest checking the water lines to make sure they did not freeze over and are preventing water from passing through to the Ice Maker. If the lines are good, you can test the Water Valve. Set your multitester to the R X 1 ohms setting to test for continuity. Place each of the multitester's leads on a terminal. Your multitester should display a reading between 200 and 500 ohms. Closely examine your water inlet valve. The exact ohm resistance rating you should test for may be marked on the valve. If the Valve is good, you may have a faulty Ice Maker. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
Ice maker cycles but won't fill with water. The water dispenser works fine in the door. I checked continuity on the valve and it looks good. How do I check the water line to the ice maker to see if its frozen?
For model number PFE28KMKDES
Hello Chad, thank you for your question! To check if your ice maker line is frozen, open the freezer and look for a plastic line leading to the ice tray. If you can access the line, squeeze it gently to confirm it is frozen. Defrost the frozen water line and the ice maker will probably start working. If this does not help, you may need to replace the icemaker fill tube heater, part number PS8767974. We hope this solves your problem!

My fridge is making ice but not dumping it. Which part do i need to replace.
For model number PFE29PSDASS
Hello Don, thank you for your question. If the ice maker is filling, and freezing but is not ejecting the ice the icemaker itself should be replaced. Good luck with your repair!

My ice maker seems to leak. Water runs down from the ice maker and freezes on the top of the ice bucket. I have changed the water supply valve on the back of the fridge but still have the same problem. Is there another supply valve for the ice maker or is the ice maker the next part in sequence that could cause this problem?
For model number CFE29TSDCSS
Hello Jeff, Thank you for the question. I suggest checking the Ice maker Flow Meter, PartSelect Number PS6011775. If the meter is not working properly it might be causing the ice maker to overflow. Hope this helps!
