This is the light switch that goes in your refrigerator. If the light is not working or stays on, you may need to replace the switch. It is made of mainly white plastic, and is an OEM part, directly from the manufacturer. Be sure to disconnect the refrigerator from the power source before you begin this repair. To remove the switch, simply use a flathead screwdriver to pop the switch out from the refrigerator wall, then disconnect the wires. Reconnect the wires to the new switch, snap it into place, and the repair is complete.

Broken light switch, caused by a dropped can of whipped topping
I had some trouble removing the broken switch because a lot of the frame was missing due to the damage from the dropped can. I tried a screwdriver first and then switched to a small putty knife, which someone else had suggested. I used the pliers to hold switch while I got screwdriver under the switch then pulled out. I THEN unplugged old one and plugged in New one and put it back in place.

Interior light door switch broken when jar fell off shelve and hit switch
Very easy with small screw driver . Carefully pry broken switch out pull off two connectors install new switch connect as before . Unplug refer 1st . Works great . Refrigerator will not work with bad switch

The switch was loose ( no spring). The lights did not work.
Unplug the refrigerator. Gently pry old switch out with screw driver. Move wires to connector on new switch with needle nose pliers. Pop it back into the hole. Plug back in. Peek inside to see the lights working.

Replaced Light Switch and Dispenser Light Bulb
Extremely easy. Just screwed in the light bulp. Used pliers to pull out th dispenser switch. Then disconnected the electrical wires ((they just snap off), reattached the wires and then pushed the new switch in. Took less than 10 minuets.
Can of fruit fell from shelf and broke the switch cover.
Removed broken switch with plastic scraper (press tension latch on bottom), moved two wire terminals to the new switch and pressed the new switch into the hole.

Hing door brine off
Poped whole switch out with flat head screw driver. Removed wires with needle nose players and held the wires so they wouldn't get pulled back inside fridge shell. Attached wires to new part like a plug. Lights ccame back put new switch back inside wall. Shut door

Refrigerator light not coming on
Our daughter spilled juice on the refrigerator light button. It started with the light coming on very slowly and then not at all. We popped off the old button with a flat head screwdriver, plugged in the new one. Works perfect. Can't believe how inexpensive and easy the fix was.

Child Broke Light Switch Inside Refrigerator

Refrigerator door switch went bad
It was very simple! I assessed the situation and gathered my tools for the job. I used a flat head screwdriver, pliers, and electrical tape. I used the flat head screwdriver to release the switch from its location, the pliers to take the electrical terminations apart. I taped the wires individual so that I would not loose them in the door
... Read more, also not to short them out. I then unpackaged the new switch to install. Pulled the tape off one of the of the terminals while holding the wire, and attached it to the new switchs terminal post. Did the same with the other wire, then snapped the new switch back into place. Immediately had results. I opened and closed the door a few times in amazement that something so annoying such as a light in your fridge could be so easy to fix. Most of all, having a business to rely on to find the part and deliver in a timely fashion. Thank you Partselect.com, you were outstanding!!!

when we close the door, sometimes it doesn't close, so we put tape over the switch, but my wife says she can't see what's in the frig to good
