How to replace the 4 shock absorbers with above model number? Is your parts OEM or replacement? Thanks
For model number wfw97hexl2
Hello Lorenzo, thank you for contacting us. We only sell OEM parts directly sourced from the manufacturer. We are providing you with the instructions to replace all the shock absorbers:
To replace the front shock absorbers:
1. Remove the top by taking out the three screws from the back and push the top back a little and lift it off.
2. Pull the detergent dispenser out by pressing the tab, and remove the control panel by removing all the screws.
3. Remove the door latch screws and push the latch in.
4. Remove the door seal.
5. Remove all the screws from the front panel and lift it off.
6. The shock absorbers can be seen at the bottom of both sides. There are two locking tabs on the shock absorber at the top and the same on the bottom.
7. Press the tab with the flat blade screwdriver and turn the shock absorber and hold. Go from the back and press the tab down and release it. Follow the same procedure for the bottom tab. Then you will be able to turn and remove the shock absorber.
8. To install the new shock absorber, place the shock absorber into the cutout at the bottom, press it down, and turn it clockwise. Now for the top, extend the shock absorber so it will fit through the hole in the mounting bracket and turn it clockwise so it will lock.
Follow the same procedure for replacing the other shock absorber, and install the front panel, door seal, door latch, control panel, and top panel back.
To replace the back shock absorbers:
1. Remove the rear access panel by removing all the screws. Next, remove the rear access brace and you will be able to access the back shock absorbers.
2. Repeat the procedure the same as mentioned for the front absorbers, and reinstall the rear access brace and rear access panel.
