Replaced water filter, fridge does not recognize and shut water off.

Replaced water filter correctly but display still shows 0 days and replace filter. Does the RFID board need replacing?

Hi Janet, Thank you for contacting us. If the display still shows "0 days" and "replace filter" even after correctly replacing the water filter, you need to manually reset the filter indicator by pressing and holding the "reset" button on the control panel for a few seconds, this should clear the message. Replaced water filter, fridge does not recognize and shut water off. replace control board same problem.

Hi Pat,
Glad to hear from you. If the water in your refrigerator is not shutting off, and you have replaced the water filter and the electronic control board, the issue is likely the water inlet valve. If a component inside the water inlet valve has failed, it may cause the issue you are experiencing. You will need to test it with a multimeter to see if it has continuity. Before removing and testing it, unplug your refrigerator from the electrical outlet and turn the water supply off. Set your multimeter to the Rx1 setting and place the probes on the valve's terminals. You should receive a reading of 200 to 500 ohms. If you receive any other reading, you need a replacement water inlet valve. We hope this helps!
