what size hose and how does it attach to the deck?

Hello Les, thank you for getting in touch. Based on research, the size of the hose is 38 x 8.5 x 8.5 inches. Thread the upper end of the chute tube securely into the upper chute support. There are two tabs on the lower inside part of the upper chute support to allow for secure threading. The chute tube and upper chute support are left-hand threaded. Thread anticlockwise until secure. Lift it by the handles at the bottom of the chute tube. Slide the chute tube over the chute elbow mounted on the cutting deck. Make sure the connection is secure and there are no gaps between the chute tube and the chute elbow. If open, close the grass catcher cover before mowing. We hope this solves your problem!

Will it fit my cub cadet XT1 46 inch deck I have a yardsmith yard vacuum with 8 inch hoses on it

Hi Charles, thank you for contacting us. The lower bagger chute you have mentioned is not compatible with your model. Your model comes with chute assembly, part number PS16388457. We hope this helps!
