Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):

Original plastic Burner Knob shaft splintered / broke rendering it useless for turning
Ordered new Surface Burner Knob- Stainless similar to original knob
but slightly, although almost undistinguishable noticeably, larger than
the original. Slipped new part on without the need of a tool.
Part was very pricey plus a hefty charge for postage / shipping.
Total approx. $65.00. Whew!

Burner knob appears to be no longer available.
I have requested this part with the original p/n WB03K10303 and p/n AP396896. Each times I received a different part than part I ordered. Has this parts been revised? The shaft of the knob is to to small to to slide over burner controller stem.

Cracked Burner Knob Stem
One of my plastic burner knobs cracked. I ordered a replacement knob using the correct part number, but apparently the style of that part has changed slightly over the past four years. My new knob did not match the existing knobs. I ended up buying more new knobs so they all match.

My dog tried to get to a pizza box that was sitting on the range. He managed to turn on the burner under the box in the process and set the cooktop on fire, burning the oven control overlay and two front knobs.
The knobs were easy, just pull off and push on. The overlay was more challenging. I used pliers to loosen the two nuts that slip into slots on the back of the top of the range. Took out the two allen screws on the bottom of the range back panel just above the cooking surface. I could then pull out the control panel section. I remov

I removed the back paper from the new overlay and put it in place. I then removed the top protective film once the overlay was in place. Then it was just a matter of re-assembling and testing to see if it worked. Remember to unplug the range before starting to pull it apart. My range now looks as good as new!

My GE Dual Fuel is at least 15 years old and your website doesn't list the model number on the list of models the knobs will fit. I don't want to order 5 knobs if they're not going to fit. Has other inquiries had this problem with the knobs fitting properly?
For model number P2B918SEM1SS
Hi Donna, thank you for the question. This is the correct Burner Knob for your model number. If you need help placing an order for it, please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

It appears from the pictures of the new version of the range knob that the shaft is metal and part of the knob rather than the old version with the shaft being plastic. Is that correct?
