OMG--IT WORKS NOW--TYTYTY
The online exploded diagram you have for my dishwasher enabled me to figure out what part was broken and gave me the part number. You swiftly sent me a replacement for a fair price. I put it in and my days of washing dishes by hand are over! I'm one happy customer!

Dishwasher wouldn't turn on without turning off the breaker for 30 seconds or more.
This is for a front facing control panel, not a top facing one. Likely similar process.
Remove lower splash guard, raise the feet all the way, pull out dishwasher about 6-inches. Remove the two small screws from the bottom of the door that hold the outer door liner to the inner door liner.
Disconnect the pull-cord

Separate the two door panels by sliding the outer liner upward and off.
Disconnect the steam vent by twisting off the cap on the inside and lifting up.
Using the pick tool, pull up on the plastic on the inside of the control panel assembly and pop it out from the little silver tabs on the outer door. Once all of them are popped (4 or 5), it will lift right off.
Disconnect the connector from the control board. Take out the two screws holding the control board in. Replace, and reverse procedure for reassembly.

Dishwasher dead
Repaired with the help of You Tube videos. To repair: remove door (note! the door can be removed without pulling the dishwasher out, or disconnecting spring cables). To remove the door insert allen wrench in holes under door to hold the door in the remove/ install position. separate the inner and outer door (easily done) then remove an

In my case the dishwasher would come back to life for a short period if I turned the power off, and back on. I read somewhere that was a symptom of the bad UI board. I was lucky because that was the problem.

My dishwasher is doing some strange things for the past year, which I would like to fix:
1. After each use, I need to unplug it or else if it is left plugged in it will not start.
2. It takes a number of hours before I plug it in to power back up.
3. When it does start on a cycle it runs through the entire cycle, but during the cycle, the power will might shut down and display for blank for a few moments and then power back up by itself.
4. Sometimes the amount of minutes will change while in the cycle; for example when it down to about 15 minutes, the time will move to possibly 38, then to 30, then to 65. It is so erratic, but eventually makes it through the cycle.
5. I ordered a new control module, but the same things occur.
6. I was thinking of ordering the CONFIGURED UI BOARD WD21X31898 and replacing that, but if that doesn't work, then it is a waste of money.
***I would appreciate any ideas of what the solution could be. Thank you.
For model number GDF640HMM0ES
Hello Daniel, thank you for contacting us. We have researched and found that the issue could be most probably with the user interface board, part number PS16762497, and replacing it will most probably solve the problem. Glad to be of help!
