How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Return
I ordered the wrong part, couldn't find the model # on machine. Anyway, I ordered it on pictures alone and I ordered the wrong part. They helped me with the return and gave me a full refund.
Honest and Reliable, I will stick to ordering directly from PartSelect.com because I usually make at least two to three mistakes every time I repair my own machines so I need a place easy to deal with when it comes to returns.
Thank you,
John P

Great service
I tried to get the part at a store here but it would have taken a week to get the part. I ordered it from partselect and it arrived the next day. Washing clothes ten minutes later.

Top of agitator was loose and would come off.
I removed the nut from the bottom of the old agitator, slipped it off and put the new one on. After tightening the nut it worked just fine.

The top part of the agitator was loose and would rotate.
A 5/16 socket on a ratchet was used to loosen a screw. Remove the agitator from the splined shaft by pulling straight up. Slide the new agitator onto the splined shaft and tighten the new supplied screw.

Agitator was slipping,
Removed 1 screw with 5/16'' nutdriver on lower area of agitator and unit slipped off spline like butter. Replaced with new unit and simply tightened the holding screw. Repair Dude wanted 179.50 for this repair. I saved over $100.00 doing this myself. Cool.

The agitator separated into two pieces. The base that has the bolt that requires a nut driver to remove stayed in its locked position. I put the top part( not fluid cup) on the base turned until it went down into place. It floated to the top again. Couldn't keep it on the remaining base. Would a new agitator assembly eliminate the problem and keep the radial fin part locked to base of agitator. Thank you
For model number LAV3600AWW
Hi Judy,
Thank you for your inquiry. Yes it would. It looks like the manufacturer now makes that all as one complete part. Good luck with your repair.

We have the agitator out. Should it rattle when you shake it?
Hi Kathy,
Thank you for your question. It should not. The cogs in your agitator might be broken and you may need to replace the part. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My replacement agitator will not stay on it comes loose during the spin cycle and rises up,i have to push it down and keep tightening the screw during the wash cycle. Is there a way to keep it in place.
For model number LAV3600AWW
Hello Vicki, Thank you for the question. I suggest checking to make sure the o-ring is with the screw and it is not wore or the screw is not stripped and needs to be replaced. PartSelect Number PS2019801. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
Will your part number ps2019803 fit in model number pav3300agw . Thanks
For model number PAV3300AGW
Hello Anil, Thank you for contacting us. I am not showing PS2019803 is a compatible part for this appliance. I have researched the model you have provided and have found the base for this model is PartSelect Number PS2017908. The Upper part of the agitator is PartSelect Number PS2018203. I looked up the part and it is listed as No Longer Available/Discontinued. There is no part substitutions listed. My suggestion here would be to call the manufacturer and see if they can provide you with a substitution for these part numbers. Hope this helps!
Agitator not agitating. Base turns freely clockwise and does not engage agitator but when turning counter clockwise it engages the agitator. When in the washer it spins clockwise during wash and counter clockwise during the rinse and spin. But will not agitate during wash.

Hello John, thank you for writing. The two main parts to check out are the Belt Kit PS2005284 and the Agitator Auger and Base Assembly PartSelect Number PS2019803. We hope this helps.
Hi, the agitator i have has the base and fin part seemingly like two pieces...although i cannot get them apart, there is about a half inch of wiggle room where the top (fin part) can be pulled/pushed up and down. is this its normal function or is it broken?thanks,tb.
For model number LAT9356AAE
Hello TB, thank you for your question. The top part of the agitator will be able to be moved up and down a little bit, but it will not come apart. This is the normal function of the agitator. They won't actually come apart into two pieces. I hope this helps!

So I put a new agitator in and the agitator shaft came out. Can I just push that shaft back in the washer?
For model number LAT9416AAE
Hello Larry, Thank you for the question. As long as the shaft is not damaged, it should be able to be pushed back in place. Hope this helps!

I believe there is a necklace stuck in the agitator. We are trying to remove the agitator but we read that the screw is on the side. We do not see one on side, but a bolt on bottom or fabric softener dispenser. Is this correct, we are worried to break the dispenser but cannot release the bolt.
For model number maytag mvwc565fw
Hi Lisa,
Thank you for your question. There is a video listed with the part you have referenced in your question to us that may help you remove the agitator. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

When I pull up on the agitator assembly, it comes out with the drive shaft. I can look right down through the seal into the transmission. What keeps the shaft in place? It does not sound right to me that the shaft should pull out. If I load it with sheets and towels the screw action causes the agitator to lift just enough so that it stops turning. What part will fix this and how?
For model number LAT2301AAE
Hello Steve,
Thanks for your question. There is a screw on the side of the agitator which may be loose or missing. Check that to see if there is any problem with the screw. If not, the agitator itself may need to be replaced.
I hope this helps.
