I had to reconnect the bottom spring on asm french door plate. The bottom hinge on part PS2322804 popped off. The heater cord came unplugged when i removed it. I can't see where it needs to be reconnected. Is it inside the door. Is it an important to the operation of the fridge.

Hi John, Thank you for the question. If you lift the gasket a bit you will see where the heater plugs into the door. This is important for the operation of the doors. Hope this helps!

I looked behind the gasket. There doesn't appear any place to plug it in. Do i need to take the gasket off? It looks like there is a hole where the plate screws in but i don't see anything in there. Any other suggestions?

Hello John, Thank you for your inquiry. It appears you also have to remove the French plate, which is the metal cover which goes over the heater cord. Hope this helps!
