Repair was fast and simple
Our stove burner kept getting stuck on high, which lead to an unfortunately charcoal rich diet for a few weeks. Narrowed down the issue to the regulators failing. The part arrived in good time. 4 screws and a quick wire swap and my omelettes haven’t been burnt since!

The part was the right one!!
I watched some YouTube videos to see what was wrong with my electric stove. Then after I knew what it prolly was, I wasn’t sure if I had the right switch tho. There wasn’t a pic of it on your website, maybe the only one that wasn’t. I went to the Q&A on that switch piece and figured it was the right one! That’s the only way I knew for sure it was the right part for my stove!! It’s a GE and it is 13 years old and now with the right part, it’s still going! Yay!!!! Ty

Phantom burner activation when switched off!
Scary when stove burner comes on by itself, was turning breaker off for safety! GE website not helpful at all. PartSelect website enabled diagnosis of problem and then provided easy source for replacement switch. PartSelect has schematics: all I had to do is unscrew the back of control panel, unscrew offending infinite switch, hook up
... Read morereplacement switch same way, put panel back and done. GE service call starts at $80 and then who knows what kinda $$$? Did repair myself: cost just $38. Yay!

new tea kettle burned out both the element and the control
After replacing the dual element and still having a problem with the range, I started troubleshooting the switch. Fortunately, our range has 2 dual burners, and the switches are the same, so I was able to move the switch and see the problem follow the switch (also, using a VOM, I could tell there was a short in the switch). Since I'd
... Read more already replaced the element, I only had to work on the controls, which are very easy to access. I carefully documented all the connections (took a couple of pictures as well), and swapping out the switch took almost no time. Lesson learned - follow the manufacturer's requirement to use only cookware with a flat bottom. This tea kettle only sat flat around the outside edge. That caused both the element and switch to blow. The "hot cooktop" light stayed on constantly, even after the element was replaced.

Element turns on hot only and cannot adjust lower and this is for part # 19 in the diagram not # 22 in the diagram. I believe part # 19 & part # 22 are different.
For model number JB645DT1WW
Hi Ed,
Thank you for contacting us. If you are having that sort of issue you should check your switch and your burner to see which one is not working correctly. If you are looking at the diagram, part 19 is your furthest left knob. So if that is the knob that controls the burner that is giving you issues, then that would be the one that you want to check. Part 22 is the knob to the right of part 19, next to your clock. They are different switches. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Sir:The right dual burner switch (for inner or outer) burners does not adjust down to low temperature controls; sets to red hot high all the time and do not "cool" down after a while like the other burners do. since both rings of dual burners stay hot at any control, i think it is a swith problem. the single knob on the outside controls both (of the dual) burners depending on left or right turn movements. what part do i need? thanks a miilion.
For model number JBP84TH2WW
Hi Azad, thank you for your question. There are a couple of parts that could cause this issue specifically. You will need a multi meter to be able to test the parts. The first part you will want to check is your radiant element. It should be reading between 0 - 120 ohms to be working correctly. The other part to check would be your infinite (or surface burner) switch. When you remove that part from the appliance, connect each probe from your multi meter to the prongs and then turn the switch to an on position. If you get no continuity then the switch is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

This is a follow up from my last question i was wondering what part number controls the front left burner as well as the bridge burner on the left. The control knob works both burners. Thanks for the help,
John
For model number JBP84SH1SS
Hello John, Thank you for contacting us. Upon reviewing the model provided we show the front left is part of the bridge burner. The control switch part number is PS226422. Hope this helps!

The large burner on the right when i turn the switch on it get very hot but after a place a pan 3 seconds after it will turn off
For model number GE690EF2ES
Hi Alex,
Thank you for your question. Well there are only two parts that could cause your burner to fail. I would suggest testing your element itself or your switch to see if they are working correctly. You can use a multi meter for that. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Can i order just the double flat shaft? It looks like the little metal part sticking out of 19.) it is absolutely all i need.
For model number JB655DT1WW
Hello Kathryn, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the shaft is not sold separately. The shaft and switch are all one unit and have to be ordered as such. I hope this helps!

Can I use part PS2339825 for all the stove Surface Burner?
For model number JB650SF4SS
Hello Douglas, thank you for the question. According to our research, the surface element control switch, part number PS2339825, you mentioned, can not be used for all the surface elements. It is for the right front and left rear surface element. We hope this helps!

Range immediately tripped circuit when turned on second burner. Circuit breaker would not reset until range unplugged. Would this be bad burner switch or something else? Burner is dual size burner left front of stove. Right front was other burner that was on at time circuit tripped. Stove is 3-4 years old and never had this problem in past. Thanks,
claudia
For model number JB650DF4WW
Hello Claudia, thank you for writing. This may be due to the 9" Dual Radiant Element itself, part number PS2321567 for your model, or this Surface Burner Switch part number PS2339825. Good luck with your repair!

Every burner on this stove has the same problem. They only run hot . There is no controlling the temperature. This stove is great at boiling water, but that is all. Could it be possible that all the switches are bad? What part numbers do i need to replace?
For model number JBP84BK1BB
Hello Jeff, Thank you for the question. Normally this indicates an issue with the switch that controls the element. PartSelect Number PS2339825 (2 required), PS236754 (1 required) and PS236780 (2 required), but with all burners having the same issue I suggest checking the wiring first. Hope this helps!
