burner element not working, assumed element burned out or broken.
4 screws held the cook top down, took top off exposing the burner elements, ordered the one that was bad ( could not
believe how easy it was to order from Partselect, and then how quick I received it.) Shocked myself when taking out the element, forgot to disconnect the breaker.

one burner would not work
I turned off the breaker to the range. I removed 5 screws holding the control knob carriage. I loosened the 2 screws that hold the control knob to the carriage. I removed each wire 1 at a time from the old control knob and hooked them up to the new one. I replaced all the screws and turned on the breaker.

I want to replace the 6 in element burner switch. The manual does not say which part I need-the 1500W or the 2350W. The current old switch says 5.4-7 amps. Does it matter which one I order-the 1500w or the 2350W one?. The 8 inch has 8.9-11 OA listed. It is #19 on the manual but does not say if the 6 in burner needs the 1500w or 2350W. If I put the 2350W switch on the 6 in burner, will it cause a fire?
