Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):

Oven stops heating and states F3 error code.
The most obbious suspect is the upper oven fan. Turned off power circuit breaker. Removed two philip screws at top of control panel and lowered the panel. Using the 3D view of the oven on this web site I located the fan limit switch. Jumpered the limit switch. Turned power on and the fan ran. That proved the switch was defective and
... Read more not the fan. Replaced the limit I purchased from Partselect.com.
Please note* My life career was electrical. I used the schematic that came with the oven to determine that the limit was the only control between one of the 240 volt lines and the fan. Thus I knew it was safe to jump the limit.

GE wall oven, when i set the temp, say 400 deg. It will come on an go to 100 deg. then shut off, no sounds or error codes. Would it be the thermostat or the oven control board? Thanks

Hello Ed, thank you for contacting us. This sounds like it would be the oven sensor. This tells the control board how hot the oven is. If it is faulty it could be sending false readings. You can test this with a multi-meter to determine if it is at fault. Hope this helps!
Oven locks, unlocks and when temperature is set it shuts off. I have repaired the control board & replaced the temperature sensor & latch oven. still have the same issue
