Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This OEM-sourced broil element with push-on terminals is located on the roof of your oven cavity, providing heat from above to cook and heat your food. It requires a 240-volt power supply to function properly. The element measures 13 1/4 inches in width and has a length of 15 7/8 inches from the mounting bracket to the back. If you are experiencing issues like uneven broiling or lack of heat, it is likely that the broil element is faulty and needs replacement. Before starting the replacement process, ensure that you turn off the oven at the breaker panel and let it cool down. To carry out the repair, you will need a flathead screwdriver, nut driver, and pliers. Begin by removing the oven door and racks. Then, unscrew the mounting screws that hold the old element in place and disconnect its wiring. Carefully pull out the old element from the appliance. When installing the new element, slide the wire contacts onto the terminals, insert it into the designated slot, and secure it with its fasteners. The top of the element is held in place by fork-like support clips, which are sold separately from the element itself.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money

Easy
This part worked great and was very easy to change out. There were 2 screws to remove and the element slid out of the top clips. You have to gently pull the wires out until you can pull them off the ends of the element.
When I started the broiler after re-installing it smoked a little bit to start, so there must have been some residue from the factory. An oven clean cycle took care of that.

Easiest repair possible.
This product is identical to the original GE factory element. Actually, I think it IS made by GE. It took less than 15 minutes to install. All you need is a 1/4" socket or nut driver and a pair of pliers to disconnect the leads. Remember to turn off the power at the circuit breaker or unplug the oven. Fast shipping!

Oven top Broiler was broke
I pulled the old broiler from holding clamps. I unscrewed the 2 screws holding the old broiler, pulled it out very slowly while using clips to hold the wires from going back into the wall behind the oven. That’s very important, I then pulled the old broiler off and replaced the new one. First I secured the elements on the oven clips that

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. Replaced the defective element with the new - all inless than fifteen minutes!

Why the new broil element I purchase from you has a wider diameter than the one my wall oven had?
For model number JRP14G0T1BB
Hello Hector, Thank you for the question. Checking the model number you ordered the correct top broil element for your appliance. At times the manufactures will make changes to the parts over time and they may appear different but should still fit and work on your appliance. Hope this helps!
