Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
At the floor of your electric oven is the bake element. This partially open-style element comes with push-on terminals. The bake element will likely provide most of the heat for baking. Therefore, if the oven is not heating properly, or if food is burnt on top and undercooked below, your bake element may be at fault. If you can see that the element has been separated or blistered, you should replace the part immediately. If there is no visible damage, turn the oven on and check to see if the element heats evenly. If the element is not heating evenly, or if it is not heating at all, use a multi-meter to test for electrical continuity to see if the element needs replacing.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Bake element: easy to remove and replace
Remember to either turn off the power or unplug the stove. Turning off the oven does not always remove power to both terminals. Replacement element fit, only two screws and two push on- connectors to remove and re-install.

Lower heating element cracked
Followed the video directions on your website - GREAT INFORMATION. Everything went very smoothly It took me longer to find my work light (after turning off the electric to the oven) out in the garage than it did to complete the repair!! SUPER PLEASED - WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANY DIY ADVENTURER!!

Bake element had some odd "episode" when a bit of roasted pumpkin water splashed on it. It went foom and a white light glowed intensely for a few seconds until i switched the oven off. It then threatened on and off to catch fire, eventually my boyfriend turned the breaker off and the red glow went away. Flipping the switch back on and turning the oven on caused it to glow red again so we're assuming we need to replace. Given the age we're assuming it was more of an eventuality because i've made much bigger messes in ovens and not had that happen! We're farmers so calling someone out to "take a look" is not in the budget, seems an easy enough fix with the right tool, can you confirm the suspicion that it needs to be changed out please? and if so, confirm my google result part number of wb44k5012?
thanks very much!!!
