Old baking element burned into.
I unpluged stove then opened slightly oven door and lifted it off to get closer. Then with a light to help I took out two screws and pulled the element out. I didn't need pliers to get the wires that are put on with slide on clips. you may need a pair. put wires on slide in place put screws back ,replace door, plug it in and test. Very ea

50 year old oven bake element died
After staring at the online pictures of possible replacement bake elements, trying to count the number of squares to figure the length and width of available oven bake elements (some of the pics had listed measurement some did not), I settled on a push on element, since there were no matching screw in elements that appeared to come close

Element went bad.
Used a nut driver and removed to studs and pulled the old element out and disconnected the two wires. Then connected the new element and put the studs back. It was that easy. Great website and it only took 5 minutes to order the part and received it on time. Plus my wife was trying to cook thanksgiving dinner. Thanks

Bottom wall oven heating element failed
While I appreciate all the various parts available from PartSelect, I was disappointed that the only heater element that was approximately the right size and shape for my wall oven had push-on prongs. My original was screw-on.
Thus, I had to (very) carefully drill through the somewhat thick metal tabs to get screws into them
... Read more. This meant holding the tabs with a pliers while I drilled them out to make sure that I did not break off the tab. Then, I increased the hole size by using increasing diameter drill bits. I let the screws self-tap, but again this was done carefully to avoid breaking off the tabs. Finally, I found that the part of the new heater element going through the back wall of the oven was an inch or so longer than the original. This did not seem to cause a problem of overheating outside the oven. At least not so far!
