My range does not have screws in the back. How do I access the hidden bake element on my model?

Hi Dana, thank you for your question! In order to remove the storage drawer and access the hidden bake element, pull the drawer out to its maximum position. On the left-hand-side glide, push the drawer glide locking bracket upwards in order to unlock the left glide and slightly pull the drawer out. On the right-hand side glide, push the drawer glide locking bracket down in order to unlock the left glide and put the drawer off of its glide. Unscrew the 3 screws which hold the hidden bake element service panel. (The third screw is located between the LH and RH screws). Lower the hidden bake panel in order to access the bake element. Remove the 4 screws which hold the bake element in place and gently pull the bake element out. We hope this helps.

We need to replace the baking element in this oven. It is enclosed and we can't seem to get to it. We have removed part after part, but we can't see how to get into the compartment with the element. HELP!

Hi Terry, thank you for contacting us. We have found some relevant instructions for you to replace the bake element, part number PS3497886. These may not be of the exact same model, but will help you with the process. You may follow the following process: unplug the range. Remove the oven racks. Remove the thumb screws that hold the bottom panel in place. Lift the back of the panel and push back to release the front from the retaining lip. Work the bottom oven panel up and out of the oven. Use a nut driver to remove 2 screws in the bottom base of the oven and 2 screws in the back. Pull the element forward to expose the wires and disconnect them. Now follow the same procedure backwards to install the new element. We hope this helps!

My bake element is shot on my Frigidaire range. Confused how to access it.
For model number FPES3085KFG
Hello Greg, thank you for the question. We are providing you with the instructions that will help you to remove the bake element. Open up the oven door and pull the oven racks out. The bake element is held in the back of the oven by two Phillips screws, which you have to remove. Once you have the two screws out, you can pull the bake element out enough to disconnect the wires. Put the new element in, you just have to slide it back into the oven. Reconnect the wires and push the element back in and put the screws. We hope this helps!

I have a Kenmore range with the (bottom) bake element not working. I did not get a part manual with it when purchased new, so not sure of the Sears part number. The model is above. The serial number is NF 7090 9975. I understand the range was made by Frigidaire, but not sure. I am not sure which bake element is the correct replacement part. Base on the pic from your website it looks like PS3497886.
